About the Outlet

Trident, a huge 5 star property located in Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon. As soon as you enter the premises, that royal luxurious feeling sinks in. The huge domes around and the Italian marble floored path leads you to the inside of the reception which further has even more wonderful interiors perfectly in sync with the prestige of the Hotel. Being a world cuisine restaurant, the buffet spread had innovative dishes from Italian, Mediterranean, South-East Asian and Indian cuisines across salads, live grill starters, main course and desserts.

The Food-

There was a huge variety of salads, for the vegans, the chicke-tarians, and Sea food lovers.saladbar1 saladbar2

For the Sushi lovers…pineapple and cucumber one was an amazing eat.


Live grill Indian tawa starters were mindblowing- Paneer Tikka, Subz Ki Seekh, Sarson Macchi tikka, Murgh Tikka Kali Mirchi & Lamb Shammi Kebab. All of these were presented beautifully with the Indian flavours intact and the mint chutney accompaniment just did wonders. The freshness of the dishes enhanced the taste all the more.


Western grill Starters were a decent try with Cajun spiced chicken breast being the best among all. The Soy Steaks was an experiment done with the regular soya, done in the form of cuboids and served with Barbeque sauce. The Cottage cheese steaks tasted brilliant too.

The Drinks-

From the house of cocktails, we were served some of the Chef’s Special and few of the customized cocktails, and all of those deserve a mention and were a must try-

Bramble- The Historical Cocktail, a mix of Raspberry Puree, lemon juice, Ginger ale, and gin which was served during those times when Alcohol was banned and that is why this innovative speak easy bag was used to hide it. Cilantro still maintains the legacy.


Weissen sour- Now, this one was specially customized for my dad who is a fan of beer, it was a great mix of Orange Marmalade, lemon juice, Bourbon whisky, Erdinger beer (built up in a pilsner glass)


Smoked Rob Roy-The Pellet Changer Cocktail and specialty of the outlet. It had Scotch (Johnnie Walker Black Label), Sweet Vermouth, Angostura bitter and Smoked with oak chips. It was smoked right at the table using this jazzy instrument.


Black currant Mint Mule- The cocktail was served in this very cute bronze container and had an appropriate mix of Black currant, Mint, Ginger ale and Vodka.

For the Sweet Tooth Lovers-

The Desserts counter was the smallest one but had few of the signature dishes there. Must say, very intelligently designed menu catering to all the age groups across cuisines.

Crème caramel Brulle, Carrot cup cakes, Waffle cone with mango ice cream with choc chips and nuts topping were few of the desserts which I tried and relished.

Perfect setting for a romantic dinner date or a casual lunch with your family or a lazy Sunday brunch.

Chinese Whisper- 

Cilantro has been awarded as the Best European – Fine Dine in Gurgaon. This Champagne Sunday Buffet Spreads costs INR 4250/- plus taxes. A little too expensive but totally justified for the ambiance and amazing hospitality and yes not to forget the innovative food and cocktails. Undoubtedly, the experience was FANTASTIC.
