Kebabs kebabs everywhere, not a single one to miss.
This should ideally be the tagline for this wonderful chain serving quite literally finger licking authentic North Indian Mughlai cuisines. Undoubtedly a hidden gem offering delectable variety of kebabs and indeed becomes host to superlicous dum biryani in this part of the city.
The outlet nestled into the Corner Market of Malviya Nagar, is a pretty small one but treats its guests with a huge heart and soul. With a seating for 20-25 people, the outlet has been done up very simply in terms of the interiors and caters to its guest with amazing hospitality.
My visit happened to be on one of the lazy and chilly Sunday, which eventually turned out be Mughlai and Royal treat with just the sheer variety of dishes on offer and undoubtedly royal because of the amazing hospitality by the owner and the staff.
After hearing much buzzword around, stepped in to find out a very simple, elegant, relaxing and cozy interior. The place was well lit and had comfortable seating.
We were welcomed by the smiling staff and neatly laid out table mats and cutlery.
Things that trickled my taste buds –
Dahi Kebab – After hearing so much about their Dahi Kebabs which being one of my favorites too. Right away I called for them. In no time the kebabs were served steaming hot and fresh, decorated in a royal manner with beetroot slices. Took my fork to pick them up, being super-duper fresh it just fell apart. One could see the hung curd oozing out of the kebab. Crispy outside with soft tender inside, the best dahi kebabs ever tasted. So soft that they will vanish in one’s mouth seconds after putting in your mouth.
Paneer Tikka – The soft and tender paneer laden with masala was served in huge cubes. Served along with Green Chutney and some veggies. The Paneer Tikka was a complete blast of flavours in the mouth with the first bite itself.
Stuffed Mushroom Tikka – The round and cute mushrooms adorned the well-cooked look with grace. They were soft, fresh and delicious to say the least
Chicken Khurchan – Served liked Tachos, their Khurchan is an absolute hit with the customers. The presentation was indeed innovative. In encompassed of basically a deep fired wheat flour layer holding Chicken Khurchan elegantly. The best suggested way is to squeeze some lemon over them and bite through the little, unique and innovative dish. Hats off to the chef for coming up with such a wonderful dish. Highly recommended.
After the lip-smacking and droolful starters, here comes the main course –
Dal Makhni – The super creamy, tasty and flavourful Dal Makhni, just made me shutup for some minutes and enjoy my Dal Makhni with the super amazing Mirchi Parantha
Paneer Martaban – The paneer came in a Martaban or a huge Indian style container steaming hot and loaded with Paneer. A single stir through the Paneer, and I knew that this thing will be fantastic. The thick achari gravy with uber soft paneer seemed an ideal thing this winters. A must try for sure. I am drooling thinking about it
Dum Veg and Non Veg Biryani – The best biryani I have ever tasted, was served in an earthen pot along with gravy and raita.
Gajar ka Halwa – The mawa heavy gazar ka halwa was an absolute delight too. Appropriately sweet halwa was a pure luxury after the tummy full treat
Gulab Jamun – These round and sweet delicacy was worth a bite too
The meal at Kebab Gali was indeed lavish and royal in all sense and style. The service was quick and prompt and we were served with an unending smile always.
Light on the pocket and heavy on the taste, highly recommended and would love to visit again.
