Choosing a hotel in Goa, especially North Goa, is a tedious task in itself. On my recent holiday to Goa with
friends, I was also in a dilemma as to which hotel to book until I finally discovered this gem of a place which is a
Boutique Hotel – Mykonos Blu and is sure to take you to the magical country Greece !!!!
The hotel is all painted in hues of white and blue, just to give a feel of Mykonos in Goa. It is spread across 3 floors with a cute little swimming pool at the entrance and an open sitting bar/dining.
The hotel also houses a semi-open named restaurant named as Nero-The Lazy Grill overlooking silent and lazy Baga river which adores a beautiful and mesmerising new look now and renamed as – MERAKI with Greek Mediterranean food
Welcome Drink awaits you on your arrival and an extremely beautiful quiet open air dining area is what attracts you in here. The complimentary breakfast is a part of the deal, and one thing which still is a like a fresh memory in my mind is having those fresh scrambled eggs while sipping on watermelon juice first thing in the morning while enjoying the serenity and simplicity of the Baga Lake.
The hotel has close to 20 odd rooms have been designed with utmost detailing with extensive use of logs of wood and hues of white and blue. All the rooms are pretty spacious, appropriately lit and well maintained. The beds are super duper comfortable and appropriate for the lazy souls. Almost all the rooms have balconies view a magnificent view of the pool and the greenery around.
The two categories of room available are ZORBA (The Suite) and IVA (The Deluxe)
Although, all the rooms are very well ventilated with well equipped basic facilities like- AC, LCD, Minibar, Tea/Coffee Maker, Locker, Bath Tub, Vanity Mirror, Hair Dryer- in short it is pretty women friendly.
If you are a water baby and would love to spend majority of your time floating around the pool or sitting beside the reading a book – book yourself one of the rooms on the ground floor. They have a direct exit to the pool area.
Apart from the basic facilities the restaurant also arranges arranges South and North Goa tours along with visits to the nearby famous tourist attractions or spots.
So, from gauging from our stay at this place for 4 nights, we have summed up our review to provide quick Yays and Nays about the hotel.
