Food Review – Uzzuri Deli

Uzzuri was on my list since long, and finally last week, on a casual Saturday morning I landed here.

The ambiance is soothing wherein one can sit for hours and still not get bored of admiring the refreshing feel all around. The outlet is spread across two floors, with a cozy and compact set up. The entrance welcomes you with huge green trees, wooden chairs on one side and a drooling bakery set up (waiting to be gulped upon) on the other side.

The menu is an exhaustive one covering exquisite breakfast dishes, panini’s, burgers, appetizers and mains across European, Korean, Chinese, Italian and American cuisines.

Uzzuri’s breakfast Menu had been the talk of the town since months and there I was trying it for the very first time. The Chips & Eggs attracted me the first thing from their menu followed by Mushroom Omelette and Crepes.

The Chips & Egg is a pretty innovative dish which had poached eggs at the side along with crunch fries loaded with poutine sauce. A perfect kick starter to the meal.

The Omelette was another delight in itself and we gulped it faster than one could imagine. It was a complete meal, wherein a mushroom loaded omelette was served with two slices of garlic bread, kidney beans, mashed potatoes and baked tomato.

The Fruit Salad and Fresh Watermelon Juice was a great accompaniment.

Chef Saurabh caught us with wide open eyes and on our best hogging spree while we were having Nutella & Banana Crepes from his exclusive breakfast menu. We took no time in completing the huge portion of crepes. Me and Vishi Khandelwal (Abstract Shades) quite literally became warriors with knives and forks being drawn against only for an extra bite of the crepe. Yes, it was actually that good.

From the bakery section, we tried a slice of Pineapple Upside Down cake (absolutely lip smacking) and the popular Black velvet which was one of the best desserts I have tried till date. It was an absolute double whammy.

But the delicious menu had more surprises for us, Chilly & Chicken Panini with Chilli Jam along with Uzzuri Fresh (Mocktail). Both the dishes were fabulous and bang on in presentation as well as the flavors.

Shout out to Chef Saurabh, an impressive jovial personality and our server Pawan for making our dining experience a wonderful one at Uzzuri.

I am definitely coming back to try the amazing spread of mains and appetizers.

Keep Eating Peeps!!
